Definitely find someone for caregiving, at least for the first two weeks, and even if it’s occasional checkins. There’s just too much to manage to go it alone. I thought I might be able to do it, since I’m very independent and very organized, but it was just too difficult. (My surgeon required 2 weeks care and I’m glad he did). I still needed people to stop in to help for 4 weeks.

I’m definitely past the major recovery period! I’m still healing though, and dilation is still a major part of my time and discomfort, but it’s still getting better every day. I’m hopeful that by 6 months I’ll be very much just enjoying my life :)
