It is a versatile skill, isn’t it? This was one of the visions of Seymour Papert, that computing was a medium in which almost anything could be learned. It turns out to be more complicated than he imagined, but there’s no question that computing is more powerful and expressive than anything we’ve invented. All that said, we don’t need everyone in the world to have a deep relationship to code. We need some people fascinated by health, some by politics, some by engineering.
