Surgeons have most of the power, don’t they? It was really hard to accept over the past year that one man’s health, wellness, and hands were going to determine so much of my future. I’m so grateful for his work — I’m really happy with the results so far — but there’s something just inherently imbalanced about the dynamics between health care systems and patient agency.
