The 50 came from the previous blog post I cited about 50 privileges I have; it wasn’t a reference to hurdles or fifty shades of gray. I still have most of those privileges I mentioned in the other post. Back when I wrote this in summer, I thought it would be interesting to reflect on some of the privileges I’d lost by coming out. I hope it’s clear that the post had nothing to do with partners or their own pain. One short blog post can’t tell every story. Fortunately, many others are telling the story of partners, all around the internet.
